LAHORE: Veteran cricket players and key Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) officials have widely acclaimed board’s unprecedented decision to take action against players’ poor performance and the internal disputes among the team players,it was reported reported.
Media quoted the Chief Selector Mohsin Hasan Khan as saying that the decision of the PCB is strict and good. “I back the decision of the committee.”
He said that these players are for the national team not for their own teams. “These steps will be result oriented and it is better for the future of cricket in Pakistan.” He said that our players should respect the country first.
Talking to a news TV, former test cricketers Zaheer Abbas also backed the decision but requested the board to reconsider the decision against Mohammad Yousaf and Younis Khan.
Former leg spinner and former PCB Chief Selector Abdul Qadir, appreciating the recent decisions by PCB, termed it a bold step towards betterment.
Talking to media, he said the Board should stick to their decisions, as the decisions made in past by earlier Boards were not put into action.
